Learn the variety of ways we start seeds for the garden, including how to make soil blocks and how to select the appropriate size tray for planting. We will also explain how heat mats, grow lights, and other tools can help get your garden off to a strong start. Designing a Raised Bed to Enjoy All Season Long
Saturday, April 25, 9:30AM Learn how to use succession planting to make the most out of a small garden space and ensure a steady supply of your favorite vegetables, herbs, and flowers during the season. We will talk about cool season and warm season crops, garden spacing, and companion planting so you can make the most out of your garden this season. Plant Your Own Container Garden
Saturday, May 9, 9:30AM Dig in and learn how variety selection, fertility management, and pot selection can set you up for success this growing season. Saturday, September 12, 3-5PM Join us in the fields as we create a stunning work of art with the queen of flowers: the dahlia! Learn how we create depth and drama through color choice, texture, and greenery. Saturday, June 6, 3-5PM Celebrate peak peony season with an immersive floral design workshop. We will discuss harvest stage, vase mechanics, and composition for these one-of-a-kind blooms. Sunday, May 10, 2-4PM Join us on Mother's Day for double the flower fun! Learn to assemble a foam-free, sustainable arrangement that highlights our favorite spring blooms, and then design a complimentary bud vase to go with it! Private workshops are the perfect team building activity for for small groups and celebrations!
Our on-farm gardening and flower workshops are designed for groups of 10-20 people. Workshops last 1-2 hours and are focused on a topic. Popular topics include: how to build wedding wearables (corsages, boutonnières, and hair pieces), assembling bud vases, statement floral centerpieces, planting custom planters, and more! We are excited to create a workshop that caters to your interests.
